Dallas Wedding Planner is Flawless with New Site Design

Working with the talented Dallas event designer Holly Tripp has been such a pleasure. Holly, an industry leader, has been setting the tone for brides for years – but when it came to her website it hadn’t been updated to reflect her latest work in a very long time. Our goal was to keep existing elements of the Holly Tripp brand that had become very well known over the year (like the bright pink 2 tone palette) but to give her a much more modern, luxurious look to represent her style.

Here’s a look at the homepage. We added a very large image that had beautiful transitioning images built into it to capture attention when you first arrive on the site.

Get to know Holly:

How long have you been in business? 12 YEARS (SINCE 2000)

What do you do?

I provide wedding coordination services for brides who want to enjoy the planning process, as well as the wedding day itself.

Why did you start your business?

I did some planning on the corporate side and it sparked my interest in planning. However, I wanted to do something that was more fun and creative, so I ventured into the social market in 2000. Now I primarily focus on weddings, which I love because each one is so different…I never get bored! What is unique about your business? (Why would someone want to use your services)

I think brides choose to hire me because they want less drama, and more calmness. There is enough emotion and stress already in the wedding planning process, so they want someone who will help them keep in all in perspective and be honest and realistic with them.

What is the process like to work with you?

I like to think that it is a relaxing and stress-free experience. J That is definitely my goal. I want my brides to be able to enjoy this special time in their lives. I want to set up an easy-to-follow game plan from the beginning, whether they are hiring me for full-service planning, or primarily assisting with the month and weekend of the wedding. I believe in tackling one or two things at a time, assuming we have the time to do so. Focusing on just a couple of tasks at a time make it less over-whelming and much more enjoyable for the bride-to-be.

Why did you decide to work with Doodle Dog?

I had seen their work and liked their style. When I started paying attention to sites that I liked and noticing who designed them, Doodle Dog was a name that kept popping up over and over.

Tell us about your family. My amazing husband is a financial planner and avid golfer. Our daughter is in kindergarten and is so happy, social, creative, kind – we are truly blessed.

Do you have any pets? What are their names? One super cute guinea pig named Rocky.

Where do you like to shop? It seems like I spend a lot of time at Gymboree – obviously for my daughter!

I could (and do) spend HOURS in Target.

If I am truly shopping for me, I host CAbi parties twice a year – my friend is a rep for their women’s clothing line. All the clothes come to me at my house and it is truly the easiest and best way for me to shop for myself. I also like Banana Republic, GAP, J. Crew and Macy’s.

Describe yourself and your style.

I like to think I am relaxed and casual, but still “put together”. J I live in flip-flops, cropped cargos and tank tops in the summer….skinny jeans and Uggs in the winter. I am a wife and mom first, a wedding planner second.

Where do you find inspiration?

I try to draw inspiration for a wedding from a variety of places – the bride and groom and their lifestyle, as well as the venues they select, and the priorities they have. From there, looking at floral first inspires me when looking at other event elements, like fabrics and furnishings.

As far as my home, I draw inspiration from calm relaxing spaces, like the spa and the ocean.

A Day in the life of you consist of:

Wake up at 6:50 am – make breakfast and lunch box for Sydney, get her dressed and ready for school

Walk to Sydney to school, then maybe a walk around the neighborhood (for the only tiny bit of exercise that I do.)

Breakfast for me, then on to answering emails, updating client files, making phone calls

Meetings – could be via phone, in office or at a vendor’s (like florist or caterer)

Quick lunch, then run a few errands, more emails and phone calls

Pick up Sydney from school at 3:00, then home for quick snack (and check emails again) before on to gymnastics or swim lessons

Figure out a dinner plan, then dinner with the fam, bath and bed for kid

Watch some TV on the DVR for some down time with husband

Final check of emails, then read on my ipad before bed,

Finally to sleep around 11:30 pm
