Susan Gage Caterers came to Doodle Dog Creative in search of a refreshing, clean, sophisticated brand design and website design for their very established catering business in Washington DC. They had been using the same logo for 32 YEARS…YES, 32 YEARS, so the pressure was on to create something classic and timeless but that felt rejuvenated! catering website designcatering website design

We asked Stacey (one of the most integral representatives of Susan Gage Caterers) to tell us about her experience while working with Doodle Dog throughout this process.

  1. Why did you decide to work with Doodle Dog? We received a recommendation of a fellow DC industry event company.
  2. Why did you feel the time was right to kick-off this project? covid provided the opportunity to remerge with a new look
  3. What’s your favorite part of your new site? The cohesiveness and having a branding strategy is my favorite part.
  4. What advice would you give to someone considering a rebrand or relaunch? Do your homework and have your materials ready for turnaround times

We asked Chap (co-owner) to tell us a bit more about himself and his experience:

  1. When did you start your businesses?  My mom started my first business in 1987, however our second business was started in 2020.
  2. What is unique about the businesses? We have a long-term view of our client relationships which tends to be rare in our space.  Our goal is to create generational relationships with our clients and their families which leads us to make different short-term decisions of many of our competitors.
  3. What’s on your Playlist?  I’ve been listening to everything from Independent Hip-Hop to Adele as of late.
  4. Where do you find inspiration?  I always get my best ideas while walking or running (without headphones!)
  5. Why did you decide to work with Doodle Dog?  Love the projects you’ve worked on.
  6. Why did you feel the time was right to kick-off this project?  The pandemic seemed a great to rebrand so that we could come out on the other-side showing our company’s evolution.
  7. What’s your favorite part of your new sites/brands?  While we had our old logo for 32 years, and I never thought I could get rid of it, I love our new one which perfectly encapsulates who we are today.
  8. What advice would you give to someone considering a rebrand or relaunch?  Use Doodle Dog
