We’re excited to bring a bold and bright new look to Dalay Ket Event Design. An on-trend script logo in a punchy magenta gives Dalay Ket an unmistakably bold identity and color palette. These bright pops of orange, purple, and pink combine with a watercolor pattern to give Dalay Ket the perfect mix of feminine and modern elements. We designed a site and brand elements to give Dalay Ket a fresh look from head to toe:
We’d like to shine the spotlight on Dalay Ket for a moment with an interview about her business and how she feels about her new logo, website, and brand elements:
What do you do?
Dalay Ket Event Design is a boutique event design firm serving the Central Ohio area. I love creating stylish, memorable and completely custom events for my clients. My company handles everything from the big idea to all the little details.
How long have you been in business?
Well, technically I’ve been in business since January but we are doing our official launch this within the next month! I can’t wait!
Why did you start your business?
I worked throughout college in the events industry working for local florists and event planners and I have really, really grown to love it. Nothing compares to the feeling you get when your client has their big room reveal. What better job is there than making one of a kind memories happen?
What is unique about your business?
Well, my company is basically a one-stop shop for the aesthetics of an event. Instead of hiring one vendor for rentals, another for flowers and another for lighting or whatever it may be, I can take care of it all. On top of the convenience factor, I really strive to give my clients a personalized event that they’ll truly love as well as their guests.
What is the process like while working with you?
Simple and super fun! I try to make it as easy as possible for my clients. I know putting an event together can be stressful. So we begin by meeting at a Starbucks or a cute wine bistro and I learn about my clients, their story and their grand schemes. From there, there are many collaborative sessions full of creativity and good conversation. This could be anything from trips to the flower wholesaler to putting together 8ft paper flower walls. I love to be really hands on throughout the entire process. There’s a lot of “OMG, look at this!” and “Isn’t this awesome?” emails.
What’s your favorite part of your new look?
Everything, I absolutely love everything! It’s super bright and fun, with that little touch of elegance. Nikki and her team did such a great job of making my brand everything I dreamed of. I’m going to recommend Doodle Dog to everyone.
Why did you decide to work with Doodle Dog?I did a lot of research on different branding companies before I decided to work with Doodle Dog. I really wanted to start my business on the right foot. I looked at a few other companies and didn’t feel like they were for me. When I came across Doodle Dog, I got butterflies. I went through every one of their previous clients’ websites (yes all of them) and there wasn’t one that I didn’t like! I also loved how every one was so different and personalized.
About you – do you have family? Pets?
We’re small and close-knit. My family came to the US as refugees so it’s really just me, my parents, my grandparents and a few aunts and uncles. No pets yet but my boyfriend and I have been eying this incredibly cute little bulldog puppy.
Where do you like to shop? Describe yourself and your style.HomeGoods! I could spend hours in there! I wish I had the will power to walk out empty handed but I always seem to find something I have to have. I also love to mosey through Nordstrom and the Kate Spade store. Lets see, I’m fun, bubbly and a sometimes a little out there. I live for bright colors, bold prints and anything gold! My family means the world to me and I have the most amazing job ever. Oh, and I LOVE to meet new people!
Where do you find inspiration?
Everywhere, literally. This includes blogs, magazines, my fellow industry professionals, my clients of course, my culture, etc. I guess I can’t exclude Pinterest. It’s so good yet so bad!
What does a day in your life look like?
Starting my day by waking up at 7:00 AM. At this point my alarm has been going off for at least half an hour because I’m the absolute worst at waking up! Grab my morning coffee and answer all my emails. I try to make a run to the gym if my schedule isn’t too packed. From this point on my day-to-day activities varies from client meetings, vendor meetings, catching up on emails, drafting designs and proposals, running to the studio, etc. My work phone usually goes off at 6:00PM and I’m home for dinner. From there I catch up on my favorite shows, answer the evenings emails and I’m in bed by 11:00 PM.
Thanks to Dalay Ket for the opportunity to work on such a fun brand identity, and for all the details in her spotlight interview!
