Doodle Dog Creative is a creative agency headquartered in Dallas and Austin, Texas, specializing in branding solutions, website design and development and search engine optimization. We create smile worthy concepts that capture personality and inspire brands.
We are all smiles today, with the exciting launch of Sacramento and San Francisco Bay Area wedding planner, Inspirations By Gina. This rebrand and new site launch all started with a simple sketch and a creative brief.
During our creative meeting we were able to get a real feel for the brand personality and tone that Inspirations By Gina was looking for. We knew we wanted to give the site and brand a sense of playfulness, but still ensure a professional sophistication. We knew Gina was looking for a brand that could embody a mixture of Kate Spade inspiration with a fresh-eclectic style.
Take a look at the new brand design, and a few of the elements of the identity.
Here’s a closer look at the website!

How long have you been in business? Since 2008
What do you do? Inspirations by Gina is a boutique planning and styling company located in Sacramento, CA but plan and coordinate events all over Northern California. Our specialty is design and décor, but we also has a strong emphasis in logistics and day of coordination.
Why did you start your business? I started because I always had a love for entertaining, planning and crafting since I was a young girl. I would always plan weddings and other special events for friends and families, so it was a natural transition to start the business.
What is unique about your business? My philosophy is to provide a simple elegant style while remaining passionate for each of my clients and each event. I have instilled in my staff to treat each of our clients with utmost regard and want them to feel a personal touch to their affair. Here at Inspirations by Gina we are dedicated to providing supreme designing, planning and coordinating services to ensure that each client has a celebration they have envisioned. We will provide seamless and innovative solutions to keep the whole event organized and relaxed so that they can enjoy the day of their event, whether it is a wedding, birthday party or corporate event.
What is the process like to work with you? When a potential client contacts Inspirations by Gina, we like to have a 30 minute one on one to find out what the potential client envisions for their event. We discuss budgets, venues and what they have done already in the planning process and what they need help with. We also determine if we will be a good fit for the client at that time. Once the contract is signed, we sit down with the client and start working on an extensive checklist that Inspirations by Gina has to keep the client on track. It’s really about communication from start to finish; we make sure that we stay on top of everything so that the day of the event, there are no surprises or mishaps. We also pride ourselves in NOT discussing or disclosing any information in regards to the client to other professionals or other clients.
Why did you decide to work with Doodle Dog? Doodle Dog came highly recommended to me by a number of colleagues here in California. I was impressed with the transformation of their websites and decided to give Doodle Dog a call.
What’s your favorite part of your new look? I love the logo and the clean look of the website. It clearly defines who Inspirations by Gina is as a company.
What advice would you give to someone considering a rebrand or relaunch? Do a lot of research and think about who you want to market to and what direction you want to take your company. Trust your gut instincts and take a risk with you.
Tell us about your family. I am engaged to be married to a wonderful man that I have known for five years. I have a son who lives on the east coast and two fur kids, a labradoodle named Brandy and a standard poodle named Rocky.
What’s on your Playlist? Prince, Kem, a little bit of Kanye West, Jay Z and a personal favorite is the rock band Journey.
Where do you like to shop? If money were no object, I would lavish myself in nothing but Kate Spade and Louis Vouitton! However, this lady takes pleasure in mixing modern and vintage pieces by shopping at discount and consignment stores. I love going to San Francisco and New York for the extreme shopping experience!
Describe yourself and your style. I am definitely a Kate Spade type of girl one minute, but can easily rock jeans and cowboy boots or flip flops and a maxi dress. When I am at a client’s event, I wear my signature green watch, black dress and pearls. Green is my favorite color!
Where do you find inspiration? I find inspiration everywhere! It’s not always in a bridal magazine; sometimes I will be at a restaurant and a place mat will inspire me. A certain flower or even food will give me great inspiration. I love to pin on Pinterest. What on earth did I do before Pinterest????? Sometimes I will create a design plan based on a napkin from a birthday party. My philosophy is that there is “inspiration” everywhere, you just have to open your eyes, touch and trust your instincts.

We are thrilled to introduce to you the all new Emily Clarke Weddings and Events, Clarke Creative, and Pipsqueak Events brands! As many of you out there know, as entrepreneurs sometimes we just can’t help but want to start business after business… and Emily Clarke has done just that (successfully)! Emily began as wedding and event planner, but after time went on was asked to do children’s events as well as to design and produce DIY creations, invitations and more. So after lots of hard work, she was able to juggle all three businesses and in many cases use them hand in hand to put together spectacular events! So Emily came to us in search of creating brands for each of the 3 companies that would not only be able to tie together but also stand alone at times.
Here’s a look at the overarching brand, Emily Clarke Weddings and Events:
And the sister company that designs clever creations, Clarke Creative:
And Lastly, Pipsqueak Events:
Here is a sneak peak of the business cards for Emily Clarke Weddings and Events as well:
After we completed the 3 brands, the real challenge came when we faced designing and developing a site that would showcase the work of all 3 brands, the purpose of all 3 brands, and what Emily Clarke had to offer. Our solution was to create a banner on the top of her site that not only had photos that transitioned but also a logo that was next to each photo, so that at quick glance visitors would know what each brand specialized in and what Emily Clarke as a whole had to offer. Here’s a couple looks at the homepage:
We added additional functionality to the custom wordpress designed site, so that as you hovered over the individual thumbnail images in the main area of the site, you’d see words pop up that related to each of the brands and would showcase image galleries under each.
Here’s another view of the site on the contact form, where again the visitor has the opportunity to list what type of event they are looking for.
We hope you love Emily’s new look. To check out the full site, visit www.emilyclarkeevents.com. If you are looking for help on designing your custom brand identity, website or blog, shoot us a message!
