Doodle Dog Creative is a creative agency headquartered in Dallas and Austin, Texas, specializing in branding solutions, website design and development and search engine optimization. We create smile worthy concepts that capture personality and inspire brands.
We loved the sweet and nostalgic details that were designed into this brand identity, created for Texas business, Charming Weddings! Take a look at all of the fun designs that we created for her. We started with the logo and created a full identity of postcards, business cards, stationery and more. Take a look – and notice the little foil stamped heart accent throughout all of the pieces!
We are exited to introduce the new brand identity for Canadian based stationery designer, Sarah Waterfield of Swanky Invites! Sarah came to us in search of a clean and simple design for her brand that had a touch of classic vintage appeal to it. Sarah, like other designers, was hesitant to put her trust in another designer for her brand identity, but after our initial creative brainstorming meeting she was confident that she was in good hands. As we tell all of our clients in creative businesses – it’s hard to look upon your brand and your business from an outside perspective – and in many cases beneficial to work with professionals who can help you tie it all together into one complete and cohesive brand design!
Take a look at what we’ve designed for Swanky Invites! Here is her new logo, business cards, sticker for packaging, and hang tags.
Thank you note cards!
And lastly, envelopes and a letterhead design that can be used for contracts, information and more to help pull her identity into all marketing communications!

What do you do?
Swanky Custom Cards & Invitations specializes in creating first impressions for your special occasion with unique and stylish custom made invitations, announcements, or holiday cards that focus on the details of your event.
Why did you start your business?
I have always loved colour so naturally I decided to study Interior Design post secondary. I enjoyed working in the field but it didn’t feel like the perfect fit. While creating cards that I would give along with wedding gifts for friends, I was reminded by my mom of a spring years ago when we were visiting my Great Aunt and Uncle. There I was sitting at the table busy cutting, pasting and crafting up a card to give them. My Great Uncle was so impressed that he gave me a toonie to go buy a stamp (plus tip) so that I would make him a card when I got home to send to him in the mail. I spent hours creating a card that when opened had a pop up flower bouquet. After being reminded of this I was struck, lightning bolt fashion, with the revelation that this is what I should be doing. It is truly the perfect fit for me as it combines all of the aspects I loved from my schooling, just applying the principles and elements of design in a different way.
What is unique about your business?
Everything about this business is unique! There are no books of generic invitations to choose from. Everything is personally handcrafted and the time is taken to ensure that each has a simple elegance that causes it to stand out from the others. I want my clients personalties to come alive through their invitations so when their guests receive them they are excited to attend.
What is the process like to work with you?
Planning a wedding or event can be quite overwhelming so I like to keep the design process as fun and easy as possible. I like to start with an initial consultation where I get to know my clients and their style and figure out how to bring their vision to life through paper. Once we have decided that we are a good fit, a quote is provided and time frames are laid out. Proofs are sent out and changes are made until it is perfect. I want the final product to be something that they are proud of.
Why did you decide to work with Doodle Dog?
I was instantly drawn to Nikki’s work the second I stumbled upon it. I could see reflections of myself in every one of her designs and knew that I wanted her to design my branding. Being in Canada, I was also impressed with her portfolio as the majority of their clients are all out of state. I thought it must really say a lot about her if she can get such a strong feeling about her clients design wants and needs without even meeting them in person. And I was not wrong! She absolutely nailed my branding on the first round!
What’s your favorite part of your new look?
I love that my new look is a complete reflection of me! It is clean, simple with a touch of classic vintage and I absolutely love the postage style logo.
Tell us about your family.
I have just recently moved in with my amazing boyfriend and am also very close with my two wonderful parents and younger sister.
Where do you like to shop?
I am obsessed with all things J.Crew
Describe yourself and your style.
I like to think my style is timeless but modern. I have always looked up to Jackie O as a style icon. She always dressed in very clean and simple lines yet always pushing the style envelope just a little bit. I also work as a flight attendant so my other true love is definitely travelling. My boyfriend and I have had a goal to travel somewhere once a month for a whole year and we are just two months away from completing!
Where do you find inspiration?
I find the majority of my inspiration comes from fashion. A lot of the trends happening in the fashion world are also happening in interior design as well as the stationery world. I also find inspiration when travelling, from the colour combinations found in the east coast of Canada to the energy felt when roaming the streets of NYC.
A Day in the life of you consist of:
What I love most about my life is that each day is different. I could be on a pairing, travelling to new and exciting places or I could be at home waking up early and getting the day going first and foremost with a coffee and my new favourite breakfast of overnight oats. I’ll then workout, answer emails and work away on which ever order I happen to have on the go. On the evenings that my boyfriend and I are both home together we like to spend our time cooking delicious meals and watching our favourite shows that we have recorded on the PVR.

An association made up of many skilled and accredited members of the wedding industry in Daytona Beach came to us looking to incorporate a new look for their association.
WPVC provides an extensive array of credible wedding professionals in order to ensure that all aspects of your wedding go as planned. From finding the perfect dress and flowers to picking out the right venue and invitations, WPVC can recommend some of the best people in town. Members include caterers, entertainment specialists, hotels, rental suppliers, florists and even photo booth companies that can provide the exact atmosphere you want to create on your special day.
Our friends in Florida needed a logo that would reflect the expertise and caliber of the members in the association. That being said, we created a logo with a simple yet professional abbreviation of the organization. We thought the pink theme we developed was perfect for all things wedding related, and added subtle hints of grey into the design to create an aesthetically pleasing website. Their website gives them the capability of a profile for each member to showcase their work, a place to post meetings within the group and more! The site is perfect for brides to find venues as well as vendors to work and communicate with.
Take a look and tell us what you think of the new website and logo for the Wedding Pros of Volusia County!

We recently worked with Cocroft and Delbridge, a custom designer in wedding and formal occasion accessories that help bring a unique twist to your special day. They were looking for a new direction for their brand, one in which their primary focus was to present their array of custom textile bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres as an alternative to using natural flowers.
Doodle Dog Creative has helped re-brand their business with a whole new look, including a logo and fresh start on their website, business cards, marketing pieces and lots more! A combination of earthy warm tones of yellow, orange and brown flow nicely with a floral printed background. We used a completely customized calligraphy-style font in order for the Cocroft and Delbridge logo to stand apart from any other. The idea behind the design was to create something that would differentiate itself from the competition, an element that no one else would have, as well as something that would beautifully flow to show off the feminine look of the company.
Run by a mother- and two daughter trio whose passion is to create customized embellishments and creative floral arrangements, Cathy Shuknecht Wynn and her two daughters Courtney and Ashley can all agree on their love of floral beauty and design.

How long have you been in business?
4 years However, in October 2012 changed our primary focus to our current products This is the reason we have decided to re-brand.
What do you do?
We design custom textile (alternative floral) bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, and hair pieces for weddings, proms, etc.
Why did you start your business?
After spending 30 years as an Occupational Therapist I decided to follow my dream to be an entrepreneur and a designer. I have had a passion for sewing and all things fabric/ textile since the age of 8 when I taught myself to sew. My other passion is making people happy and I love to create custom creations for my customers.
What is unique about your business?
We offer complete customization of our products. We like to think of ourselves as alternative florists great for those with allergies and for everyone that would like a keepsake from their day. Each of our flowers are made on individual stems so that the bouquet could be taken apart and arranged in a vase. Most of the flowers I make have come from a book that was based on flowers from the 1920’s.
What is the process like to work with you?
We can be contacted by Facebook, telephone, Etsy, or e-mail. Once we are contacted we will set up an initial consultation one of a few ways: by telephone, skype , email, in person. We ask some questions to get “a feel” for what our customer is looking for and then start designing. We will keep our customers up to date with pictures and verbal communication.
Why did you decide to work with Doodle Dog?
We were impressed by the samples we saw and then by their professionalism.
What’s your favorite part of your new look?I love the logo and the colors, actually I love it all!
