Want to get to know Jonathan and Samantha a little better? We asked them a few questions so that you can do just that: How long have you been in business? 2 yrs What do you do? We are lifestyle wedding photographers and we are now offering the Jonathan Ivy Photo Booth. Why did you start your business? Photography has been a life long passion for Jonathan and business management has been a life long passion for Samantha and we both love getting to know people! Place the three together & thus Jonathan Ivy Photography & Photo Booth is born! What is unique about your business?We are a husband and wife team who understand what it is like to be in the bride & groom’s shoes. We are here to take the essence of each couple and turn it into art. What is the process like to work with you? Laid back and fun! We are here to implement the things you want & need while adding an artistic flair to them so that you can kick back, relax & enjoy your beautiful day! Why did you decide to work with Doodle Dog? Because of how impressed we were with Nikki as a person and as a business. All the work we have seen come from her was impressive to say the least and we wanted to be apart of it! Tell us about your family. Consist of Jonathan & Samantha and our 2 furbabies Jack & Molly! Do you have any pets? What are their names? Ooops I just referred to them as our children… yes we have 2 cats 😉 Where do you like to shop? Oooo dang this is going to be a hard one….Katie’s Kloset, Francescas and Kate Spade if you ask Samantha. Apple Store, Amazon.com, and iPhone App store if you ask Jonathan! Describe yourself and your style. Well, our photography style is photojournalistic or lifestyle but our clothing is smart ~n~ sassy! Is that a type? Well it is now! Where do you find inspiration? In light! Light changes everything!!! A Day in the life of you consist of: Wake up at 9:30-10am (don’t hate), where Samantha falls into her office chair with a cup of coffee & Jonathan with a bowl of cereal with almond milk. Samantha kicks the day off with reading her blog feeds where she ooo’s and awww’s at all the amazing vendors we work with in the industry. Meanwhile, Jonathan is trying to dive into his 1st project while entertaining all of Samantha’s “Hey Look at this!” “Oh wow this is fabulous!” We work on things such as edits, blog posts, e-mails, slideshows, DVD’s, magazine and blog submission, vendor galleries and much more while listening to a combo of our client’s slideshow song till around 1pm where we hop up for lunch because we just realized that we were hungry. After grabbing a quick bite to eat of just about whatever we find around the hudio we take it back up to the editing room and get back to work. Typically around 3pm we begin to get stir crazy and head out for the day to run errands, meet vendors or just drive around. By 4:30ish we are back at the hudio editing and working. If this is a lucky day where we meet a client, we plug that into the day and get to enjoy meeting new people. We always love having people over! Should this not be one of those lucky days, we will work until about 5:30 where we grab dinner at the hudio or we head out to grab dinner at one of our local joints offering a rockin’ “early bird” special where we eat & drink with the best of the 1950’s (yes, we are always BY FAR the youngest people in the room). After dinner we head back to the hudio to edit and watch tv until about midnight or so where we head over to hit the sack and repeat the process!
