Doodle Dog Creative is a creative agency headquartered in Dallas and Austin, Texas, specializing in branding solutions, website design and development and search engine optimization. We create smile worthy concepts that capture personality and inspire brands.
Today’s new look brings a fresh feel to a brand with a great cause. Little Tesoros Therapy Services provides physical, occupational, and speech therapy services to little ones and their families. The trick here was to balance LTTS’s professionalism with the whimsical childlike spirit that inspires the organization. Our website design combines a clean and professional layout with approachable, whimsical color choices to capture the LTTS brand personality. With a logo refresh (meaning we just tweaked their existing logo to an updated look), Little Tesoros is ready for their next chapter. Overall, this site design provides vital information to mom and dad about their kiddo’s wellness, while capturing the LTTS values: “We believe in the motivation of fun, the power of love and trust, and the camaraderie of community.”
We’re guessing you’ve probably heard the web design buzzword of the decade floating around the internet: responsive. But what does it mean, and why is it important to business owners?
In a nutshell, responsive design means your website looks great on any device (we did a full post on this topic here) – both on the big computer screen and on mobile. With as many gadgets we’ve incorporated into our lives, a professional look on all platforms has become increasingly important as clients view your site via phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer. While this option was already a smart choice for a professional online presence, responsive design just got a whole lot more important.
Google recently announced that on April 21st, “mobile-friendliness” will be a factor in your site’s ranking on Google. Having a responsive design will speed up your site on mobile devices and dramatically increase your rank in Google searches – meaning potential clients can find you much more easily if your website is responsive. Having a responsive site also means having a site that is ideal for the user, visiting on any device. No more zooming in to read the content, no more images that won’t load or navigation that is hard to find.
Don’t be left in the dark! Even if mobile-friendly design didn’t seem that important to you before, it definitely is now if you want prevent your traffic, leads, and new business from plummeting this spring.
The good news? Doodle Dog was already offered responsive website design! If you’ve worked with us on a site in the past and opted not to make it responsive at the time, it’s not too late. Adding responsive functionality is an option and doesn’t require an entirely new site or design – just a bit of a “facelift” that we can add to your existing website. We are experienced in offering custom responsive web design in wordpress, (so that you can edit your own site) which will not only look professional, but also keep your site rankings up. Feel free to get in touch so we can talk about sprucing up your site and maintaining your site rankings (April 21 is just around the corner!).
And if you’re thinking of joining the Doodle Dog family, we’re excited to get you launched with a responsive site from the get-go. Mobile-friendliness is extremely important component of launching or growing your business. We’d love to create a custom web design that looks amazing from phone and iPad to your computer.

What is the name of your business?
Belle The Magazine | The Wedding Blog for The Sophisticated Bride
How long have you been in business?
I started in 2005 with a printed version of the magazine (which is no longer available) and in 2009 with the blog.
What do you do?
We’re a bridal blog that brings a a daily dose of chic wedding ideas to our readers. From stunning affairs and breath-taking gowns to round-ups of the best in weddings from around the web and everything in between, we create a carefully curated collection of advice, ideas and inspiration to help our visitors on the planning of their dream wedding.
Why did you start your business?
As most wedding bloggers, I started in the wedding industry as a bride looking for resources to create my own wedding. I saw a lack of a wedding resource that appeal to brides like me on my local market, that’s when I decide to create a print regional magazine, Belle The Magazine. The blog was born as a digital complement of the print version, but slowly the blog took over my time and resources. I quickly discover that my wedding ideas and advice appeal to a wider audience than just the local brides. And Belle The Magazine “The Wedding Blog for The Sophisticated Bride” established itself as a trusted, stylish and creative wedding planning resource amongs brides and wedding industry professionals alike.
What is unique about your business?
We bring our readers a daily dose of chic wedding ideas. Our readers are stylish engaged girls and we deliver a carefully curated collection of advice, ideas, resources and inspiration to help them create the wedding of their dreams.
Why did you decide to work with Doodle Dog?
A number of my blogging colleagues used Doodle Dog and I LOVED their designs. I wanted a designer that knew the wedding industry, who can create modern, stylish websites and who could understand my brand and my needs as a blogger. I wanted to evolve my brand and I needed someone to share and help me out on my journey, and Doodle Dog was the perfect match.
What’s your favorite part of your new look?
I love my header and the interactive galleries. A cleaner, but not boring look is something I was looking for a long time and I finally got it.
Tell us about your family.
I live in El Paso Texas with my husband and our three gorgeous boys + three adorable dogs. We’re very creative – my 3 children play musical instruments, music is highly encourage on our household. We are also very active, we love taking walks and bike rides, playing tennis, doing yoga or running the track.
I’m originally from Chihuahua, Mexico – so my parents and my huge extended family still live there. I moved to the United States 14 years ago to attend college, my brother followed my steps and now he lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife and kids.
Do you have any pets? What are their names?
I have 3 dogs. Our oldest is Jack, he is a chocolate lab and the sweetest and most loyal dog ever. Then comes Rocky, he is a boxer and his strong, yet fragile and extremely friendly. And finally we have Oreo a black Schnauzer that is full of energy, and probably hasn’t realized that he is a dog. We also have a fish-tang where we have had several types of fish, crabs, snails, etc – but Mr. Bubbles, a black goldfish has been with us the longest (around 4 years).
Where do you like to shop?
I’m not a huge shopper. I believe in spending your money on timeless pieces and save as much as possible on trends. My favorite store is Zara. But, there is no Zara in town, so I have to relay on my travels to shop there. I would like to say that here in town my usual shopping is a mix of H&M, Express and Forever 21, however you’ll find me at Michael Kors more often that I would like to admit.
Describe yourself and your style.
My style is classic and feminine with an edge. I’m a Libra, so I believe in balance – never too much, but never too little. My aesthetic philosophy consist of a clean canvas with statement accents. My go to look is black skinny jeans and a white blouse, then I accent it and mix it up with a statement necklaces or a colorful scarfs, killer shoes or a leather jacket and boots (it depends on the occasion). At my home you’ll find that neutral colors dominate and the accessories are eclectic in style and very colorful.
Where do you find inspiration?
Everywhere.: movies, people on the streets, books… Lover of all things pretty, I can’t help myself but to get inspired by every moment of life. I also follow closely many other wedding blogs – I would like to mention some, but there is SO many good ones out there I would not like to forget anyone. My fellow bloggers keep me in the loop of what’s happening in the wedding blog, as well as inspire me to create new and exciting content.
A Day in the life of you consist of:
My day basically revolves around my kids, I take advantage of the time when they are in school to work, and it varies a lot from day to day. But, more or less it goes as follows: Wake up at 6:00am, eat a bowl of mini-wheats with strawberries and almond milk, get the kids breakfast, get them ready and take them to school, walking for 15 min, COFFEE time, blogging, pick up the kids from school, after school activities, they do homework while I do more blogging, if we have time do an outdoor activity, put the kids to bed and finally me-time.
Is there anything else you would like to mention?
Thank you Nikki for my beautiful site. It was a pleasure working with someone who is professional and reliable at all times!

Our good friends Kelly and Wendy at Life Styled Events came to us a while back in need of a new look for their website and collateral. We came up with a design to reflect their style and brand. These ladies strive for excellence and find beauty and vision in every task put in front of them. No matter the size or event, they will be sure to uphold the same standard of excellence for everyone and create a unique and personal event that is meaningful to you and your guests. The bold black and white damask pattern accented with splashes of teal really creates a feminine and memorable look.
Take a look at some of the website pages:
And a few of their promotional and collateral pieces…
We are thrilled to introduce one of the newest wedding and event planners to hit the Dallas scene! Starting out less than a year ago, Urban Magnolia has been helping brides coordinate weddings and assisting future mothers with the process of planning for babies. We asked Kristine Baker (owner of Urban Magnolia) to tell us a bit more about her business…
Why did you start your business? I wanted to help people with some of the most important days in their lives that can easily become stressful.
What is unique about your business? I plan for both brides and mommies. Babies are so cute and Brides are always beautiful. I also recently completed my certification with the AACWP, so I am now a Trained Wedding Planner.
What is the process like to work with you? I like to do an initial interview, so that we can both meet to see if we are a match. After the initial interview and if we are a good fit, then I will send over all my information to see what best suits the bride/mommy. The rest is all setting up and planning…the fun stuff!
Why did you decide to work with Doodle Dog? I adore their style and love how they organize websites!
Here’s a look at what we put together for Urban Magnolia’s new website and blog design…

Tell us about your family. My parents have been married for over 40 years and reside in Plano with one dog named Buddee (yes that is the official AKC registered spelling of their dog’s name). I met my husband about five years on a blind date. We got married three years almost to the day after meeting each other. His name is Brian and works in home mortgages. I am so blessed to have my best friend to come home to everyday.
Do you have any pets? What are their names? I do!! I have a fish tank full of community fish (if you are into fish you know that means that my fish don’t attack each other). I used to name them, but I had one die that I named and I promptly stopped. I also have a puppy named Samantha. She is part Rottweiler and possibly Rhodesian Ridgeback, but we got her from a rescue so it is hard to tell. Her past times are chasing after bunnies, chewing on mom’s shoes (mom is me), and going on walks. Please note that her name came with her, which was given to her by a little girl who named her after an American Girl doll.
3. Where do you like to shop? Everywhere! H&M, Nordstrom, Dillard’s, White House Black Market, Max Studio, BCBG, Neiman Marcus, J Crew, Gap, Kohl’s, etc. Basically, I like clothes and if they are cute I am coming shopping.
4. Describe yourself and your style. I feel I am a ridiculously positive person. I love to be organized. I love scrapbooking and my newest hobby is quilting. I adore all things that are truly antique. I am a big fan of Canton and Z Gallery (which don’t go together unless you come into my house.) As for my style, antiques, lover of real wood (I have wood furniture all over my house and love it!), bright colors, mod patterns, all metallics (bronze, copper, pewter, silver, and gold) and all shades of grey.
5. Where do you find inspiration? Everywhere! Wedding Chicks, Ruffled, Bustled, and many more wedding blogs. I also find inspiration in art work, fashion magazines, Architectural Digest and (oddly enough) Pinterest. I also find it on photographers’ websites, because essentially they are artists with a camera.
A Day in the life of you consist of: Right now. Here is my day and for the record, I am not a morning person. 4:45am – Puppy wakes up and needs to be let out. Puppy then returns to my bed to sleep or eat chewy…I am training to be out of the bed, but that takes time and at 4am anything I don’t have the energy. 5:15am- Alarm goes off to get me up to go workout. (Yes, I go back to sleep after that. It seems odd, but I tried getting up earlier and I get tired earlier.)I work out at 24 Hour Fitness.5:30am- Out the door to the gym! At the gym, I have started checking email for Urban Magnolia while I am during cardio. I am working on sandwiching my workouts, so cardio, weight training, cardio, out of the gym. 6:30am-Come home from the gym and start making my lunch and breakfast! My breakfast is the same: Light & Fit Vanilla Yogurt with fresh berries and toast. My Lunch is about the same: Egg Salad with Almonds and Celery mix in, Whole Wheat Crackers, Carrots and Snap Peas to eat, and two cookies (because I have done so well that day two cookies won’t hurt). 7:10 am- I am getting ready for my day job and working with puppy to understand that the closet is a “no” zone.7:50am-Wrapping up and getting ready and checking email for Urban Magnolia. 8:10am- Let puppy out one last time and head off to day job.1:00pm- Leave work to let puppy out and train her. (Side Note: Brian, my husband, will do this if needed, but I usually do it because I am closer to home)2:00pm-Back at day job! Somewhere in here I eat lunch in pieces. 2:00-6:00pm – Answering Emails for both day job and Urban Magnolia Weddings and Events. It is a juggling act right now, but it won’t be that way forever. 6:00pm- Leave Work and head home! 6:35pm – Arrive Home and Start Dinner, if needed. I am huge advocate of cooking on Sundays, so that the rest of the week all you have to do reheat. Husband is a fan as well. J I will say that I have learned how to make most dinners that are high protein, high fiber and low carb in under 20 minutes…that has to be a record. 7:15pm- Eat Dinner while puppy jumps on the table trying to snag a bite. 7:45:pm- Wash up from Dinner and walk puppy (this is walk number 2. My husband does the morning walk and I do the nightly walk with my husband and puppy) My husband and I both do the dishes from dinner. My dad saw this the other day and said that we “ make a good team!” 8:10pm- Arrive Home from walk and start answering emails, because that it just too late to call someone back. I also work on my new blog! 10:15pm – Everybody goes to sleep, so that we can wake up the next morning and repeat. And by this time I am tired and puppy is asleep by my feet.
