Events by Kristin’s stylish new brand identity and site!
Event and wedding planner Kristin Mullen came to us in need of a new look for her business, Events by Kristin. She is a very passionate and dedicated professional who ensures that through the use of her services, your perfect day will go as planned.
Kristen explains her business model further by adding, “Events by Kristin provides unique and exceptional wedding and event planning. Our Dallas wedding planners and event coordinators are available to you throughout the entire planning process, or just for the “day of”. We manage the multiple components of your wedding or special event, to ensure that a consistent design is achieved from beginning to end.”
We came up with a modern design using black and white as our primary color palette, and accented it with splashes of turquoise and a fuchsia purple. The thin sans serif font gives her brand a sophisticated and polished look that emphasizes the new sleek style.

Here are nine examples of how you can integrate your social media activity into your website for maximum results.
#1: Add social media buttons to your home page
By getting someone to follow you on Twitter, become LinkedIn with you, or subscribe to your YouTube channel, you have the opportunity to keep the lines of communication open long after they’ve left your website.#2: Connect your blog with your website
Whether your blog shares a domain with your website or not, you can improve the interactivity of your website by teasing your blog posts from your home page.#3: Embed videos on your website
Embed a video on your website to bring your offerings to life.
#4: Make your website shareable
Retweet buttons and Facebook Like buttons aren’t just for blogs. You can add them to any page of your website to get visitors to share the content more easily with their networks.#5: Add your presentations to your website
If you market your business through public speaking, you can maximize your results by putting your presentations on your site.#6: Socially bookmark new content
As you add new articles or archive your email newsletters to your site, make sure that you add them to appropriate social bookmarking sites like StumbleUpon, Reddit and Delicious. These popular sites can drive huge amounts of traffic to your website in a short period of time.#7: Add a Facebook Like box to your website
Adding a Facebook Like box to your site adds accelerant to the idea of social proof. Visitors can quickly see how many people have liked your business on Facebook, get a sense of your level of commitment to social media (by the posts you’ve added to your wall), and may even spy some of their friends and connections through the Like box.
#8: Feed your website
If the framework of your website is fairly static, you can still keep it fresh by adding feeds from your blog, Facebook, Twitter and just about every social media platform that generates an RSS feed.#9: Use QR codes to drive traffic
Whether you post QR codes on one of your social media profiles or in the real world (i.e., direct mail, a business card or poster) you can use them to drive people to your website. For more information and for this full article, please visit Social Media Examiner.
Google Reader Rocks
Google gets smarter by the minute. Their new and improved features are constantly making life easier and more convenient. One of my favorite features, Google Reader is doing just that. This application helps you keep track of all your favorite blogs and by viewing all of their updates in one convenient location.
The Three benefits for using Google Reader
1. Google does the work for you by checking on new information from your preferred sites, so you aren’t going to 10 different sites every day.
2. Helps you stay socially connected and share your interests with family and friends
3. Easy to use anywhere since you just log in with your google id
Here is an example of what Google Reader will show you:
It lists your Favorite Sites on the left side of the screen while you pull up each site on the right hand of the screen. It is very easy to use and will help you become more organized and get you in and out of your sites quicker than opening up more than one window at a time. To add sites to your Google Reader just click the subscribe to this RSS button on your favorite blog pages.
