We had so much fun working with Lauren, so we asked her a few questions to help you get to know her and a bit about the business!
How long have you been in business? 9 years
What do you do? Wedding, family and kid portrait photography
Why did you start your business? I went to school for Fine art and dabbled in photograph. I love the idea of creating something that families and people will cherish for multiple lifetimes. My cherished treasures are wedding photos and family photos of all my family, immediate and extended.
What is unique about your business? I am a boutique photograph studio! I treat each client as an individual, meeting your specific needs because I know you are all unique! I strive to create timeless photos you will cherish forever!
What is the process like to work with you? You work directly with me! I will answer your emails, phone calls and be at all of the shoots. I build trustful and respectful relationship with each of my clients, so when we are taking photos we are just having fun, you are relaxed and you know I will get the best shots of you!
Why did you decide to work with Doodle Dog? Because I am impressed with all the variety of work they are able to do and the attentiveness they give to each of their clients.
What’s your favorite part of your new look? I think it expresses my individuality more, makes me stand out and gives me a real brand!
Tell us about your family. I married my high school sweet heart after being with him for 10 years!! I am constantly amazed with how I fall in love with him more and more each day.
Do you have any pets? What are their names? no pets- but I like to borrow friends for a good snuggle
Where do you like to shop? Vintage, thrift store and one of a kind finds for my clothing! For things in my home, I buy lots of things when I travel or cherish family heirlooms. I love when things have a story- almost everything in my house has a story or adventure behind it.
Describe yourself and your style. I am one of those people who never wants to be at a party with the same outfit on as someone else!
Where do you find inspiration? EVERYWHERE! I think beauty is in everything, even the mundane! Everyday life can inspire me! I just like to stop, take it all in and absorb a moment when I feel inspired!
A day in your life… It is never the same- you have to roll with it! It could be a full day of shooting on location- one shoot, multiple shoots, indoors and/or outdoors. If could also be a full day of editing at the computer at home in my office. And it could also be a mixture of both!! I don’t ever have a set schedule. But I do almost always eat a banana every morning for breakfast, spend at least 2 hours answering emails, phone calls and managing social media. I also try my best to do something active everyday, usually outside unless it is too cold…. I am not a fan of the cold! Thank goodness I live in Texas!
