When a good friend came to me in need of a logo for his new hair studio – I was excited for the change of pace and excited to create something that he could use anywhere from business cards to event signage and eventually studio branding.
Here is a look at the new logo we created for (STUDIO 915)
Here is a quick look at it in action at a health and wellness tradeshow!
We asked Joey a few questions to get us all in the know about Studio 915ive:
What is the name of your business?
Studio 915ive
How long have you been in business?
I have been in business for 3 months
What do you do?
I’m a small studio that provides personal one on one attention to all your hair/grooming needs.
Why did you decide to start your business ?
I started this business because I wanted to provide my customers with the sense that their stylist really did care about their needs and wants. Not just over look them like they were an ordinary client to a salon.
What is unique about your business?
The main thing that is unique about my business is that I work around your schedule and I provide a one on one experience from beginning to end.
What is the process like to work with you?
The process to work with me is very simple. We figure out what your schedule is like and we set an appointment. From there I work on a one on one basis to achieve your style and I make sure that you leave feeling like your experience is unlike any salon experience you’ve ever had.
Why did you choose to work with Doodle Dog?
I decided to work with doodle dog because Nikki listens to what you want and the service is second to none. I have worked with doodle dog in the past and the experience just keeps getting better and better. No matter if you’re a small company like me or a large company; she provided the same professionalism and hard work to every job.
Tell us about your family
I have a wonderful girlfriend that provides me with all the support anyone can ask for. She has also blessed me with two beautiful girls, Audrya 6 and Isabella 2.
Do you have any pets? What are their names?
We have a Chihuahua that we got during the Giants super bowl run in 07 so I named him Eli Manning. He’s quite a charmer and is currently single.
Where do you like to shop?
The places that I like to shop are Platos closet, Guess, forever 21 (men’s section) Ralley House and RDA for all my studio needs.
Describe yourself and your style:
I am very athletic and out going. I love to meet new people and get ideas from everything around me. On my spare time I like to work out or go for long runs. If time permits and I’m in shape to race I like to run road races up to half marathons.
Where do you find inspiration?
I find my inspiration from everything around me. From nature that has all kinds of colors to people and the different styles they rock on a daily basis. My inspiration can also come from new fashion to music and the way things flow.
What is a day in the life of you, like?
A day in my life consists of waking up and opening my phone. I check to see if I have any emails or messages on my business Facebook account. If I’m up early enough I try to get at least a 3 mile run in. From there I jump in the shower and experience a wake up blast from this new shampoo that I started using. The shampoo is Tea Tree from Paul Mitchell and it has a serious kick to it. After I shower and get dressed I eat some honey nut cheerios and drink a protein shake. If I have any appointment that day I start to get ready. If I don’t I have anything set up I take Isabella to daycare and come back home. Once home, I pop open my laptop and start to look at emails, Facebook, hair style, fashion and product websites. In the afternoon, I make dinner and feed the girls I save some Miranda for when she gets home from work if she’s working that afternoon. By 8:30 I start getting the girls ready for bed and hope to have them in bed by 9:30. After they fall asleep I catch up on my dvr shows. By 11:30 I’m trying to go to bed and ready to do it all over the next day.

After meeting Ms. Julie Sherman and hearing about how important the symbolism of the flower was to her we decided to run with that simple elegant icon throughout her entire wedding branding set.
We designed a 4 piece invitation set (main invitation, RSVP, Accommodations card, and Directions card). We placed everything neatly in a metallic deep purple pocket fold invitation holder and then again inside a square silver metallic envelope. Each piece fit perfectly and was set slightly above the piece in front of it so that the title of each showed. After completing the invitation set we also designed programs, menus, and place cards. All pieces tied together with the same beautiful purple hue and printed on an ivory linen stock.
See more pictures of this invitation set here and here, where you will see the pieces of this suite at the wedding that they were originally designed for.
If you would prefer to customize an invitation from our semi-custom line (rather than get custom wedding branding) please visit our semi-custom invitation collection for more ideas to make your wedding stationery something to remember.
