Inspirational Wedding Shoot – Backyard Glam!

Local Wedding Planner, Ebony Peoples brought together local wedding pros, to collaborate on an inspired shoot for the popular wedding blog “Every Last Detail.” Together with Sugar Bee Sweets, Catie Ronquillo Photography, Bows and Arrows, Something You Makeup, and Ebony, Doodle Dog helped brand the reception setup encompassing the theme of “Backyard Glam” in sophisticated Aubergine and Charcoal lace graphics. First, we created and assembled a multiple-piece invitation suite within a pearlescent envelope, incorporating our invites into the opening leaf and, then, stuffing the paper pocket with a playful R.S.V.P and Accommodations card. The lace embellished table place cards, as well as an adorable “LOVE” banner held by the happy couple for keepsake photos. Heidi’s famous cake balls decked our dessert table in crystal clear shot glasses, topped with a witty “Have a Ball!” banners, and “Love Sweet Love” was raised above the wedding cake.

Design for Wedding Event: Rock the Dress!

Roxanne Bradford (or Roxy B.) of The Good Life, along with Edison’s, Sweet Pea Events, Doodle Dog Creative, and Elle Photography, invite you to Rock The Dress! On August 20th, Roxy will be leading participating brides to be in a two-hour fitness workshop to equip them with the knowledge they need to get into “dress-rocking” shape for their Wedding Day(s). Participants will leave with a unique personal itinerary detailing the opportune follow-up meal and workout plans after the event and until the Big Day. With eating tips, workout tricks, and encouraging words from The Good Life, Rock the Dress is sure to be a successful incentive to shape up and feel fabulous in your skin wearing your Wedding gown.

Branding Pieces for Thursday Therapy

As Thursday Therapy gatherings bring wedding professionals together across the nation, hosting packets and invitations are being assembled to invite more locations to join the party. Doodle Dog has been working closely with Kelly Simants of Sweet Pea Events (and Sage Wedding Pros) and Michelle Loretta of Sage Wedding Pros to compile a Thursday Therapy branding package for each city group. Besides the Thursday Therapy website (that we showed you back in June), these are the first branding pieces to showcase the TT graphic identity, with a teal dot pattern, sleek silvery grey, and burgundy. Business cards (or as we call them call-to-action cards), a Host Invitation, Hosting Guide, welcome signs, and event station decor are among the print pieces rolling out of Dallas to Thursday Therapy Austin, New York, Chicago, and Las Vegas. The invitation is bound with a silver ring, and swivels open into a five pages divulging the benefits of becoming a TT host in your city, and closes with the opportunity to “partner with Sage Wedding Pros” as a national host.

The guidebook teaches a new host the tricks of the Thursday Therapy trade and explains more about the TT culture, tips to Spice Things Up at a group gathering, Promote TT, and to Connect with Guests. It is the encyclopedia of Thursday Therapy for the new host…

With the guidebook, comes the offer of additional event branding materials, such as business cards that invite your guests to “Get on the invite list,” welcome signs, take home call-to-action cards, and Mix, Mingle, and Share station signs.

Doodle Dog Goes to Austin!

For those following our trail, here are the updates on our recent adventure South to kick off the first Thursday Therapy Austin! Our tour troupe, which included Sweet Pea Events’ Kelly Simants and Meaghan Cody, received warm welcome from the fellow wedding pros and visited several awesome venues over the course of the week. Here is a glimpse from our album:

Barr Mansion

Our first destination was Barr Mansion, a rustic escape nestled on the outskirts of the city. Ushered through its doorway beneath a sculpted wooden canopy, we began to see that every detail about the Mansion was thoroughly invested in. We were greeted by the woodwork and cozy feel of this organic venue, with tree trunks supporting the high ceilings of its reception hall and a quaint retreat perfect for cocktails or R&R as your party transitions.

Next Stop… The Palm Door

In the midst of the metropolitan lies this patio getaway. With outdoor decks that run the entire length of the building, The Palm Door is a hip, versatile party venue where urban Austin meets the great outdoors.

Our next stop on the agenda was Texas Old Town

Moving along, we made our way to Texas Old Town, a stunning stop, located in Kyle, Texas. Every brick along the paths at this “multi-pavillion,” enchanting venue were laid by same few men who manage the venue today. Its charm extends throughout the grounds into the dance and reception halls, and into each corridor of entertaining space. The site offers multiple stages and hidden arches, allowing for simultaneous ceremonies with all of the stunning atmospheric exclusivity and without any distraction. Impressive? We thought so.

Paloma’s Nest

Like kids in a candy store, we couldn’t visit Austin without treating ourselves to a stop at Paloma’s Nest trip! So we were lucky enough to meet up with Caroline (the creative genius behind Paloma’s Nest) for breakfast and then head over to her brand new shop. As Caroline and her husband gave us a tour of their shop we fell even more in love with the priceless hand-made goodies that lined its walls. Indulge:
