Doodle Dog Creative is a creative agency headquartered in Dallas and Austin, Texas, specializing in branding solutions, website design and development and search engine optimization. We create smile worthy concepts that capture personality and inspire brands.
We were so honored to play a small part in the launch of what we’re sure will be a huge brand, Longhorn Vodka! The vodka recently launched and is getting a running start, horns first. The word is spreading and this line is fast becoming the choice for many vodka enthusiasts. Doodle Dog is proud to have helped create the logo and bottle design that is helping develop this products’ brand in the market. Take a look:
Longhorn Vodka is a strong, bold and masculine brand so we wanted to design an identity around just that. With A bit of edge and sleekness in the design, the smooth and polished silver horns complimented the logo perfectly.
The silver foil throughout the bottle make the horn and the other abstract elements of the bull pop of the page.
Here are a couple more shots of the brand in action.
Laura Bassett started Haute Holidays Travel after years of giving traveling advice to curious friends combined with her love for far-away places. With the hectic and overwhelming amount of travel information on the web, Laura has built Haute Holidays around a personally customized and meticulously thought out mantra. She uses her former CPA expertise as well as her affiliation with Brownell Travel to build relationships with the most esteemed hotels and travel suppliers around the world. Haute Holidays Travel helps tourists get exactly what they want out of their trips.
The new design was influenced from various vacation destinations where people go to relax, explore and gain new insight about the world around us. The textured style background is set against a beautiful bold purple and teal border inspired by the intricate designs of Moroccan tile. The earthy tones give the brand a fresh new take on travel planning, allowing clients to envision their trip before even getting there.

Officially since January 2013, but have actually been a traveler and helping friends with travel for years.
What I do:
I provide travel consulting and trip planning services to my wonderful clients so that they may realize their travel dreams! No two travelers are alike, and neither are two trips. I provide a very personalized service where I build a relationship with my clients, understanding their travel desires so that I can better craft each trip to suit them. At each step of the way, from planning to post-departure, I am there for my clients when they need me. You cannot get that from the internet!
I am honored to be an independent affiliate of Brownell Travel, a Virtuoso agency, and one of America’s oldest and most well-respected luxury travel firms. It is through this affiliation that I have access to amazing supplier and hotel relationships across the globe that I utilize to benefit my clients in the form of value-added extras and VIP treatment.
Why I started my business:
I have long loved to travel and research destinations myself, and found that many friends asked my advice when planning their own trips. I am a huge believer that travel is essential for so many reasons.. to celebrate, to relax, to explore, to reconnect.. to simply gain a new perspective on this great world we live in. Honestly, there is no better feeling than being involved in helping people utilize their most precious resource- their leisure time! And when clients return and tell me how special their trip was.. well, that is just icing on the cake!
What is unique/why someone would use my services:
The internet is an overwhelming thing. How do you even begin to sort through all the information or know who to trust? I believe that all travel is special, no matter how small or large your budget, and that people like to have that personal connection with someone regarding their trips. Also, I am a CPA (former accountant!) by trade so that attention to detail works very well when I plan travel also.
What is the process like to work with me:
I begin working with all new clients with a detailed conversation about their travel style- not just about the particular trip they contacted me to help with, but in general what are their dreams, and what is on their bucket list? Where have they traveled in the past? All of these details give me a better understanding of their style and purpose and helps me in planning. Then, should I find information on someplace my client would like to visit in the future, I make a note or send it to them!
From there, the trip-planning process is very two-way. Client feedback is always appreciated in the trip design phase, as I know that many people enjoy being involved in planning! Once we fine-tune the itinerary, I handle all of the bookings and include extra amenities and VIP treatment where possible. Upon returning home from their fabulous trip, clients debrief me and then we can begin planning their next adventure!
Why did I choose Doodle Dog:
I saw some local event planning websites that Nikki had designed and loved how they looked chic without being fussy. When I met with Nikki she seemed to understand what it was I was looking for, and I loved her youthful, creative vibe! Also, the questionnaire I completed for her was perfect in that it allowed me to list all the details of my business which I believed helped Nikki understand and design. Lastly, Nikki works in both Austin (my hometown) and Dallas (my current town), which made me even more comfortable working with her.
Favorite part of my new design:
I love that my design feels luxurious and chic without being stuffy, because I feel that is me, and also who I am as a travel consultant! The purple and teal design reminds of me of Portugese or Moroccan tiles, which I find very exotic and inspiring. I also LOVE the inspiring travel words and world map used in the bottom portion of my site pages.
I live in Dallas with my husband Ryan and our two sweet children, Paisley (almost 3) and Hudson (almost 1), and Maltese dog Casper.
Where do I like to shop:
Nordstrom, Tory Burch, Kendra Scott, Tar-jay, zappos.com for shoes.
Describe yourself and your style:
I am a wanderer and feel quite content in a foreign land, soaking up the culture and learning about its history. At the same time, I love the comforts of home and one of my favorite trips is renting a beach house with a group of friends and all of our children. So, I really love to mix it up.. couples getaways with family trips, splurges with budgetary items.
Where do I find inspiration
I am inspired by other young travel advisors. Once thought of as a profession on its way out, travel advisors are now making a big comeback, in part spurred on by a growth in the younger client demographic! I personally find that many of my friends and clients are younger busy professionals who desire a unique trip, but do not have the time or energy to plan it. These clients are adept at using the internet, but also seek a personal relationship of a trusted travel advisor to help sort through the choices, take care of the details, and add value to their trips.
Day in my life?
My day usually starts when my toddler wakes me up before sunrise, or I get to go for a run- whichever comes first. After getting the kids ready for school, I begin work.. usually the pattern of my day is dictated by my departures. If clients are departing soon, I double check and re-confirm all the details of their trip, and mail them any relevant information. Then I answer emails, and planning trips to international locations means I usually receive emails overnight! I try to answer these are early as possible to try to catch those people before they leave work that day.
Then I move on to my current requests.. researching trip possibilities for new requests or working with clients on refining the details of trips further along in the planning stage. I also am constantly working on marketing ideas, updating social media (Facebook, Twitter, and my blog) and reading publications and articles to keep up to date on all the latest travel trends and news. BEST part of my day is seeing client pictures or hearing their happy stories from trips I helped them plan. No two days are really the same, but that is why I love it!!
The hot summer heat always draws us to our own ideas of an oasis. Whether it be a lake, the beach or a refreshing dip in a pool, we sometimes like to let our imaginations run free if it means escaping the weather for a bit.
When considering a private oasis of your own, make sure to remember Johnston Pools. Located in the DFW area, Johnston Pools has been helping Dallasites create beautiful luxury retreats in their own backyards for over 15 years.
A new and improved website and brand identity was just completed for the elite custom pool company!
They wanted to showcase the experience and sophistication they posses when it comes to pool design, construction and remodeling. This is why we decided to use a classic and sophisticated look for their new brand identity and website. Refreshing royal blues, gold hues and chestnut brown were the chosen color palette for the site giving it an elegant and polished look. The photo gallery displays the elegance Johnston Pools has when designing pools, and can be sure to help you build the custom retreat you have always wanted.

Kira Sauer came to us here at Doodle Dog with an exciting idea to create and execute a rebranding of her Dallas based home design and styling business. With the perfect mix of brainstorming, collaboration and creativity, Domaine Home Design was born.
An expressive and bold layout helps reflect Kira’s chic and sophisticated style. The monochromatic shades of mauve and grey undertones help accentuate the artistic flare that is put on every interior design project that Kira and her team take on.
As founder and principal designer of Domaine Home Design, Kira has transcended the interior design industry by bringing a refreshing approach to the table. Her designs cater to any clients’ needs whether they are interested in home owning or staging a home for future sale. She has been commended for her success in the quick and efficient sale of stage homes she has designed and has seen those spaces go on and off the market quicker than lightning after working together with realtors.
We had so much fun helping re-invent something as innovative as Domaine Home Design and are always inspired by entrepreneurs who do what they love and work on something they really believe in.
Take a look at what we are passionate about– we believe in helping our clients reach their full potential by creating brand images that not only reflect the people behind the business, but also help launch those business ventures onto a multi-dimensional medium for an entire audience to see.

How long have you been in business?I started in 2010, and was operating under the name Bliss by Kira for both Event Planning and Home design. With the help of Doodle Dog, I was able to re-brand the design side of my business, and I’m excited about launching Domaine Home Design.
What do you do?
Domaine Home Design specializes in residential design, staging to sell, and new construction planning services for homeowners, realtors, builders and developers.
Why did you start your business?
After getting a degree in business/entrepreneurship and spending almost 5 years in corporate America, I decided I wanted to follow my passions and do something that truly made me happy. That meant turning down some great opportunities, making sacrifices and hitting some bumps in the road along the way, but overall, following my heart has been the best decision I have ever made. What I have learned is that you can be good at something and not love it, or love something and not be good at it, but when you find that magic combo of being good at doing what you love, GO FOR IT! I get a thrill out of seeing firsthand how what I do positively impacts my clients’ lives.
What is unique about your business?
I help homeowners looking to design their homes to live in or to sell. For interior design clients, I make sure that I understand their lifestyle and what they are trying to achieve in the space. Some designers completely take over and design the space the way they see it, but I think it’s important for my client to be present in the space and for it to truly reflect who they are and how they will use it.
For staging to sell clients, I have an excellent track record selling homes faster and for more money. Every home I have staged has had offer and sold in less than 30 days.
What is the process like to work with you?
I start my process with a home consultation where I get to know my clients, their style, design challenges and lifestyle. From there we determine their expectations and decide how we would like to work together. Each client has different needs, whether they are designing to live in their home or sell it, we come up with a design plan that is best suited to them. From there, I manage every step of the project until completion.
Why did you decide to work with Doodle Dog?
Nikki’s portfolio of work really spoke for itself. I identified with her style and knew she was who I wanteddriving the creative look behind my new brand. When I first inquired about her services I was blown away by her organized process and professional marketing materials and documents. The way she presented her services to me as a potential client was exactly how I wanted to be able present mine. I had confidence that she would be able to get me there, and I was right! We were really starting from scratch, and it was Nikki’s creativity that gave me the direction I needed.
What’s your favorite part of your new look?
I love how clean and professional the website is. Nikki chose just the right colors and fonts, but I would have to say that my logo is my favorite. There’s nothing like seeing your business name in new lettering. I love that my new logo is simple, yet memorable.
About You:Tell us about your family.
I have been married for almost three years to my husband Chris, the most amazing and supportive man ever. Without him, this dream of owning my own business would not have been possible.
Do you have any pets?
We have 2 boy Maltese dogs, Xander and Quinn.
Where do you like to shop?
When it comes to home shopping I love Homegoods for great bargains, Wisteria, Z Gallerie, West Elm and Again and Again for vintage pieces. My trick to shopping is mixing and matching and never buying everything in one place. You don’t want people to walk into your home and think “I know exactly where she shops.”
Describe yourself and your style.
I have a passion for travel, trying new things and going places I’ve never been. My design style is a true product of that. I have developed a taste for European fashion and home design, and I love the contrast created by mixing elements of vintage, glam and modern.
Where do you find inspiration?
Fashion is a good place to look for design inspiration because most clothing trends run parallel with design trends. This year’s “IT” color is Emerald. You see it on the runways and in Design magazines. However, I am most inspired during my travels. I love getting ideas from storefronts on tiny little cobblestone streets and finding unique pieces that you can’t buy locally. My clients also inspire me. I often play off their interests when coming up with design ideas. I have a client that loves 1940’s movies and the bygone era, so we created an old Hollywood/vintage inspired movie room for him.
A Day in the life of you consist of:
What I love most about my business is that each day from week to week is very different. I might have a day at home when I catch up on emails, do some blogging and check out Pinterest for ideas, or I might be out shopping for clients, attending meetings or working on installations. I just try to start and end each day with gratitude!
We loved the opportunity to work with Corrine of Details, Flowers and Photography again on print and collateral material. You may remember seeing her online branding update with a custom blog site when we launched it a few weeks back (click here to take a look at that if you missed it). After the update to the blog Corrine felt like the we had taken the brand in a much more modern direction and that she wanted to match her branding collateral to the same look to stay consistent and help develop brand recognition.
First we created their business cards and next their custom printed dvds (blank copies made for them to drop images onto before sending out to each client), and custom printed DVD cases with an individual thank you message printed. The bright vibrant pink with the patterned black and white creates a brilliant and memorable contrast that is sure to excited a bride when they receive their wedding images in the mail!
Stay tuned for a couple more pieces that we are creating to top off the brand.
