Maryland Wedding and Event Planner, Madly Stylish Events gets a new brand identity
We have had such a great time working with the super creative and stylish event planner, Wilmara Manuel – owner and lead designer of Madly Stylish Events based in Rockville, Maryland. When Wilmara came to us looking for help with her branding and told us about her target demographic and market, we knew we needed to kick off the project from square one and begin with her logo. Her original logo and blogspot design seemed to target a much younger demographic and appeared to be less serious and legitimate than her business actually was.
Here is a look at the before…
So our goal was to create a luxurious, classy and rich brand that still could showcase her fun easy-going personality. Here is a look at the new logo that we created for Madly Sylish Events…
You’ll notice the touch of class and sophistication that we added to her overall identity. We also designed a color palette as a part of the brand guidelines that contained the same rich gold from the logo above, a muted pink, heather gray, and dusty green.
Here is a look at the first piece of her new branding (her business cards)…
And finally, our favorite part of the brand reveal is her new content managed website and blog that we designed and developed for Madly Sylish Events. The entire site is built to be very user friendly so that Wilmara and staff will be able to jump on to the “back-end” of their site at their convenience and easily update photos and text. Take a look…

What is the name of your business?
Madly Stylish Events
How long have you been in business?
For about a year
What do you do?
Madly Stylish Events is a wedding and event design and planning boutique that creates events inspired by you. We are committed to giving you peace of mind, stylish and innovative design, and leaving your guests talking about your events for weeks to come.
Why did you start your business?
I have always been passionate about designing and styling parties. After I started my blog, friends of friends started asking me to design and plan parties for them.. ..that’s when I realize that I should turn my passion into my business.
What is unique about your business?
Madly Stylish Events specializes in weddings and events that merge cultures, families, and histories. We adore cultural traditions but believe in making them your own.
What is the process like to work with you?
I love the process of getting to know my clients. While our initial conversation is about the logistics of your event (date, location, etc.), most of the conversation is centered on discovering who you are as a person, what your hobbies, where you shop, how you spend your free time, and places of special meaning to you (i.e your favorite restaurant). This gives me a better sense of your design aesthetic and the direction I should head in, especially for clients who know what they DON’T want but may not necessarily what they DO want for their event.
Why did you decide to work with Doodle Dog?
LOL, now there’s a loaded question! In all honesty, I did a lot of research regarding branding experts and web designers.. I had initially paid deposit with someone else, but mu gut kept telling it was not a right fir. I stumbled upon Doodle Dog through Sage Weddings. I saw the site she had redone for Sweet Pea events and instantly felt this was the right company to go with. After talking to Nikki on the phone, I knew I was right. Working with Nikki was one the best decision I made this year. It’s such a personal process because your business is your labor of love and you want to trust it in the right hands; especially when you’re doing this virtually! Nikki has been awesome…honest, offering constructive criticism, open to your concerns, patient no matter the question, and gave great feedback that showed she listened to you.
Tell us about your family.
My lovely family…so supportive! I am married to a man that I adore and mom to three girls who make me want to live my best life. They are 10, 7, and 4 and already have an opinion when I am designing and planning a party! They are quick to tell me if they like it or not.
Do you have any pets? What are their names?
WE HAVE NO PETS!!!, despite a heavy campaign from my girls for a dog. But can you tell how I feel about from the all caps answer…LOL!
Where do you like to shop
Let’s see…. I love Anthropologie, J Crew, Target, Nordstrom, Old Navy, Kate Spade, Thrift Shops, and H&M. Sigh…I’m also a big fan of Tory Burch!
Describe yourself and your style.
I love the finishing touches, that simple detail that makes a statement. I am pretty low key and do not rattle easily, which is great for this industry. While I have a good sense of humor, my husband says I’m bad at telling jokes…I think he might be right!
It’s funny but my design aesthetic is reflective of my style…simple elegance. I like to mixed high and love end pieces , be super comfortable but polished with a shot of color.. I can rock a pair of Tory Burch flats with a T-shirt from Target and designer jeans and a vintage pearl necklace from a thrift shop and sweater from Old Navy.
Where do you find inspiration?
All around me: my girls, children have this unconstrained imagination that makes them creative in ways adults are so not!
The art and culture of Haiti, my home country
The windows of Anthropologie, they are always thinking outside of the box
Home Goods
New York City
Art in general
Fashion and Interior Design Trends
