Soulbox Productions just got a custom website update that we can’t wait to share with you! Wedding videographers David and Corbin wanted an online look that could showcase their unique filmography. We’re excited to unveil the responsive site we designed for them that does just that. With video clips built right into the site, clients can’t miss the movies carefully created by this artistic film-making duo. This custom update brought Soulbox’s online presence up to date with their quality-driven brand personality, and gives customers a better opportunity to see the magic David and Corbin can capture behind a video camera.
It was such an honor to get to work with such an awesome company – that we wanted to let you get to know them a bit better, so we asked them a few questions…
How long have you been in business? Full-time for the past 11 years.What do you do?Soulbox Productions films special events, mainly weddings, in both HD and Super 8mm Film.Why did you start your business? We wrote, directed and produced a feature length film in 2001. Many of our friends helped out without pay. So we decided to film their upcoming weddings with our professional grade camera. And we fell in love with it. We quit our jobs on the same day and started our company without a single event booked for the year.What is unique about your business?We offer many Bonus Features other videographers don’t offer: Super 8mm Film, Honeymoon Highlights and more. But honestly, it is our ability to create Wedding Films unique for each of our couples and our ability to remain unobtrusive and capture their day without staging moments.What is the process like while working with you? We love getting to know our couples and their stories while meeting with them over coffee. We never try and sell ourselves and our work, we simply allow our films and our personalities to speak for themselves.Why did you decide to work with Doodle Dog? We loved the DoodleDog site. Their professionalism, quality of service, and their work is unmatched.What’s your favorite part of your new look? The professionalism of our Doodle Dog site will allow us to raise our prices and increase our clientele.About you – do you have any family? Pets?Right now it is just the two of us and our big orange cat, Boo Radley.Where do you like to shop? Honestly, we don’t do a lot of shopping. We’d rather spend our money on great food and “date nights” with our friends and family.Describe yourself and your style. Corbin and I are very lucky that our clients are a lot like us: outgoing, laid back, and detail oriented. Our style allows our films to be unique and timeless.Where do you find inspiration? We are avid movie watchers, some of our favorite directors are: Stanley Kubrick, Wes Anderson, David Fincher, to name a few. We also find inspiration from many of our photographer friends we work with on a weekly basis for weddings. And music, can’t live without our tunes.What does a day in your life look like? It takes us 60-80 hours of post production to create a Wedding Film, so the majority of our week is editing, meeting happy couples, playing tennis at lunch or going to the gym, and prepping for upcoming weddings.

Event and wedding planner Kristin Mullen came to us in need of a new look for her business, Events by Kristin. She is a very passionate and dedicated professional who ensures that through the use of her services, your perfect day will go as planned.
Kristen explains her business model further by adding, “Events by Kristin provides unique and exceptional wedding and event planning. Our Dallas wedding planners and event coordinators are available to you throughout the entire planning process, or just for the “day of”. We manage the multiple components of your wedding or special event, to ensure that a consistent design is achieved from beginning to end.”
We came up with a modern design using black and white as our primary color palette, and accented it with splashes of turquoise and a fuchsia purple. The thin sans serif font gives her brand a sophisticated and polished look that emphasizes the new sleek style.

Her website has a ton of great features, like the testimonial (kudos) and blog pages all built into the content managed system for her to easily update and to complete a well rounded website site for future clients.

It’s always so much fun to work with other designers on their websites, so when Melissa, owner of Iza Pearl, came to us in search of a web designer to bring her existing brand to life we were thrilled! Here’s a look at her bright, cheerful and fun loving new website and blog!

You may remember a branding project we posted quite a while back for Ashling Events. When we first worked together on the branding we developed a color palette, font profile, logo design and business card design. About your business:
How long have you been in business? 4 years
What do you do? I’m a wedding planner. In the short of it I inspire, educate and support brides. I take my clients vision and turn it into a reality.
Why did you start your business? I started my business after planning my Mom a surprise birthday party. I loved all the details that went into making it a wonderful event.
What is unique about your business? We only accept 15 clients per year. That allows us to really get to know our Brides and Grooms. That is turn allows us to truly personalize their wedding making their wedding one of a kind and not a cookie cutter wedding.
What is the process like to work with you? The process is super fun and stress free. I give them an experience they will remember for years to come.
Why did you decide to work with Doodle Dog? I loved their work! Nikki was very creative and professional.

Do you have any pets? What are their names? Yes, a brown Dachshund, Carmello

11. Describe yourself and your style. I am a very fun going laid back person. Some would say I’m a little goofy. My style I would say is simple, chic and sophisticated. I love blazers. If I could wear a blazer everything I would!

5:30 am – wake up
