Meet happy, fun-loving, high on life Lora…

I was referred to Lora a few months back when she was looking for a new logo. We met at Starbucks to discuss what she was interested in. She wanted something that represented her clean, modern, happy and fun-loving style.

We started with her logo… Once she saw the logo she ended up wanting to move forward with her business cards and website. For the business cards we decided to use the little heart from the logo and create heart shaped cards tied with gray and cream colored baker’s twine.

I had the best time working with Lora and promised her that we could go celebrate once we had all of this online and ready to show off, so while Lora and I go grab a drink you should read up a little bit about her and make sure you give her a call if you are looking for a wedding photographer! How long have you been in business? A little over 2 years What do you do? I’m a Photographer who specializes in weddings. Why did you start your business? I wanted to do something that I loved and and I wanted to work from home on the weekdays so that I could be home with my children. Photography was something I became so passionate about that starting a business was just the natural progression. What is unique about your business? There are so many amazing photographers out there that really the only thing that makes my business unique is me. I am passionate about getting to know the couples that I work with and bringing out the best in them. I strive to give excellent customer service and provide photography that goes beyond their expectations. What is the process like to work with you? It usually starts with an email and then a phone consult. I ask questions to find out what their vision is for their wedding photography, and if the client wants we meet in person. I love to offer complimentary engagement sessions to every couple. I do this so that I can get to know them and how they interact with each other, and also so that they can become comfortable in front of my camera. Then when I show up for their wedding day things run so smoothly and seamlessly. Why did you decide to work with Doodle Dog? I was intimidated by the process of building a website on my own. I knew that I needed a professional to make sure that my clients had a good experience when they found me online. I also loved the idea of working with someone local who I could meet with over a cup of joe ( or a yummy pizza) J Tell us about your family. I could go on and on about my family. They‘re amazing! I have a very smart and handsome husband named Aaron who encouraged me to start this business, an 8 yr old son named Noah, a 6yr old daughter named Abby, and a 3yr old son named Alex. I want to be the best that I can be for my family. They are so precious and I am so completely blessed! Do you have any pets? What are their names? I want a dog really bad!! The only problem is that my children are allergic. I‘m planning on finding a hypo-allergenic dog though, and if that doesn’t work out then maybe some fish or a gecko are in our future. Where do you like to shop? At a mall, a really BIG mall. J I love so many stores, too many to name. Describe yourself and your style. I love people. I can talk to anyone, about anything. It’s very important that people feel at ease with me when they’re in front of my camera. I love to get a couple in their element. If they have a favorite place they like to go, or a sport or activity that they do together then why not incorporate that into their engagement session? The ideal gallery that I would give to a client would have a mixture of classic romantic portraits and fun candid type shots. Where do you find inspiration? First is the clients. What makes them tick? What do they love? Do they love the outdoors and country or the big city. After I know my clients a little better I get ideas from all kinds of things like magazines, books, music, wedding blogs, inspiration is everywhere and I try to keep a journal of all of my ideas. A Day in the life of you consist of: Sleep as late as I possibly can (which is usually 7am), cuddle with a kid/kids for 5 minutes or so, draaaaaag us all out of bed, get the kids ready and take them to school, listen to Pandora and drink lots of coffee, work on the business, blog /edit or have any necessary appointments between 9-2, pick the kids up. Eat snacks and dance to the veggie tales station on Pandora, ask my kids a million questions about school, cook a delicious dinner, and be lazy the rest of the night. Go to bed, repeat.
