Doodle Dog Creative is a creative agency headquartered in Dallas and Austin, Texas, specializing in branding solutions, website design and development and search engine optimization. We create smile worthy concepts that capture personality and inspire brands.
We were so flattered to be selected to work on one of Austin’s most well respected floral designer, Bouquets of Austin, new digital home. BOA was looking for a modern representation of their brand and a beautiful website to house their extensive portfolio.
One of the biggest challenges that we face everyday in the web world is ensuring we have beautiful photography to compliment our designs, luckily – at first glance we knew this wouldn’t be a problem. BOA’s award-winning designers have worked consistently at nearly every wedding venue across the Hill Country and, as a result, have not only become uniquely familiar with the details of their layouts, but are been able to create wonderful working relationships with each venue, allowing them to provide the most excellent service to couples on their wedding day.
We created a modern custom website design, with bright white, vibrant green and black. After working with hundreds of wedding professionals, we understand that the best florist website design comes with an easy to navigate path for the user to find what they’re looking for, and of course plenty of space for beautiful photos. Take a look at the design and let us know what you think. Interested in seeing past florist website designs and brand designs we’ve worked on? We absolutely love working with our clients as their brands grow and develop! Years ago we created the Charming Events brand design when owner, Alicia came to us as a startup small business. Most recently, Alicia came back in search of a brand update that would allow her to keep the same recognizable features of her successful brand while giving it a bit of a facelift. Her business had grown – she was no longer a one-woman show and she needed a brand and custom WordPress website design that would feel sophisticated and approachable at the same time.
Why did you start your business?
We wanted to offer a reasonably priced product/flowers to everyday brides. That combined with a passion for flowers and event planning, was enough to light the fire and get a business up and running!
What is unique about your business?
Besides the fact that we offer such a wide range of services, the people of Charming are what make us stand above the rest. We know that there are many florists to choose from in the Dallas market, but when you leave our office or boutique, we want you to feel like you have just had a conversation with a friend. We truly feel like we are personally connected with our couples, and customers, and when you leave us or we haven’t seen you in a while, we truly miss you.
What’s on your Playlist?
It’s a melting pot – just like me! Anything from Bob Marley to Gary Clark, Jr., to Kacey Musgraves. And we’re jamming to all of it most days. 🙂
Where do you find inspiration?
In everything! Lipstick colors, nature, people, random products at Home Depot like zip ties (ha!), God’s word, and I love to see how other florist use the same products that I do and design them in completely different ways.
Why did you decide to work with Doodle Dog?
When I first started working with Doodle Dog, I called them up without knowing anything about them and gave them one month to deliver a logo, business card design, and promo piece so that I could participate in the Ft. Worth Star Telegram bridal show. Fast forward 5 years and here we are refreshing the original brand and designing a custom website. I love that Nikki has such a passion for what she does and delivers a high-end, unique product, made just for us!
Why did you feel the time was right to kick-off this project?
Our company is moving on from our toddler years and entering it’s adolescent years. When we started this business, we were doing wedding flowers “on the side” while we worked full-time jobs. In the last five years, our wedding clientele has really changed – our brides are very focused and passionate about their florals, we’ve left our full-time jobs, opened a storefront, extended our planning services to large scale corporate events and conferences, and added a paperie division. We’d say it was about time for a custom website that can handle as much traffic as we do each day!
What’s your favorite part of your new site or new brand?
The swoosh! We don’t know what I love that swoosh with the trailing heart so much, but we do! We also love that our site is now a one stop shop and loaded with lots of information and beautiful pictures!
What advice would you give to someone considering a rebrand or relaunch?
Be prepared with your content and photos and have an idea of where you want to take your brand.
Is there anything else you would like to mention?
We are so excited to see where this brand refresh and relaunch takes our business. Thank you Doodle Dog!

It’s so exciting to see brands grow from start ups to successful businesses who are ready to launch their new look online. We’re so happy for Kristen, owner and lead florist of Haute Floral, who did just that! We released her logo design awhile back, and recently kicked off her digital presence with a newly launched website design. This logo design brings timeless neutrals and elegant scripts to Haute Floral’s brand identity, combining a subdued palette with feminine swashes for a classic feel. Online, unique shapes bring a custom touch to the clean website design, which allows Kristen’s sophisticated floral arrangements to take center stage. Congratulations to Haute Floral on their website launch! Take a peek at the completed elegant brand and custom website design right here:
It is our pleasure to introduce to you, the all new and improved website design for McKinney, Texas florist, Petals Couture! Warm neutrals, soft watercolor, and whimsy fonts create the perfect combination on this beautiful modern, mobile responsive website design.
Separating the portfolio on a florist’s website is always a part of the initial discussion, since we want visitors to understand the capabilities of the florist, while also showcasing the style and how the floral played into the entire event design. For Petals, we separated everything into the different types of places you see floral at an event.
Introducing a new brand identity and custom web design for The Blooming Bud, Orange County wedding florist. We wanted to give owner Cynthia a look that expresses her love for flowers and organic design. Inspired by Cynthia’s passion, we designed a logo that incorporates classic florals with a mod clean sans serif type treatment. We brought The Blooming Bud’s new look to life online with a complete website design, in ivory, shades of rose and a rich, organic green. A new portfolio design lets The Blooming Bud’s future clientele browse the beautiful designs created in the studio, and of course contact Cynthia for more information. We love the new look for this talented floral designer, and we’re sure her clients will too!
We loved the experience working with Cynthia, and wanted to let you get to know her and her business a bit more too!
How long have you been in business? I have been working with flowers for over 11 years but this is my 3rd year in business for myself with The Blooming Bud.
What do you do? I’m a floral designer and I specialize in weddings and events. I talk with my client’s about
Why did you start your business? I started my business after I realized my career choice was not making me happy. I knew it had a lot to do with being stuck in an office and I wasn’t exactly sure what to do. I started to think about what does make me happy and whether or not I should find another job or go back to school. After talking with a few of my family members, I quickly realized that working with flowers has always made me the happiest and I have always had a great passion for it. I already had a bride I booked at that time because I would do small weddings from time to time for friends and family, so starting my business seemed like the most logical thing to do because I had already done weddings on my own. 🙂
What is unique about your business?I think it’s my style of floral design along with my design ideas, passion for what I do, and the experience that I have. I’m also really easy to work with and very flexible. After a long 3-4 days of working on a single wedding, I love being able to see how beautiful and how different all my weddings end up. The wedding completely comes to life and it’s such a magical moment seeing the bride that I’ve been talking to for a few months about one of the most important and memorable days in their life. I love that I get to share that with them. It’s really cool.
What is the process like to work with you? After a soon to be bride finds my work online somewhere they I like to think it’s easy to work with me. I usually like to see Pinterest boards or saved images my brides have to get an idea of what they like. Once I get images and an idea of their budget for flowers I come up with some great designs for them and send a proposal detailing some of the design ideas and flower selections I want to use. If we are on the same page thus far, we’ll set up a consultation where we can go more in detail about some of the ideas I had as well as other details of the wedding. Once a date is booked I am working behind the scenes for a while preparing flower orders, ordering containers and vases, etc. but I am always available to my clients for any questions or concerns they may have. I’m very flexible so brides tend to feel at ease when they work with me.
Why did you decide to work with Doodle Dog? I came across some of their work online and loved the style of the logo designs. In my opinion, everything was fun but not juvenile. There was a classic whimsy to the look of the logos. And I felt that best represented me and who I am.
What’s your favorite part of your new look? The way the beautiful flowers look in my logo. It looks like something I would do with flowers as an accent piece.
What advice would you give to someone considering a rebrand or relaunch? I would say don’t diy your branding. It sounds like it’s a lot to take on at first and it is, but the outcome is just so worth it and it comes out better than anything we could ever do for our selves and our brand.
About You:Tell us about your family. My family consists of my awesome/ handsome husband and my spoiled rotten 11 year old pit bull who is my fur-baby. We spend a lot of our free time watching movies, eating, and gardening. We love the outdoors so we like to go on hikes, we like to camp, we go shooting and we also do archery.
What’s on your Playlist? I have everything. I have Queen, Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley, Iggy Azalea, Chasing Dragons, Mumford and Sons, Arcade Fire, Toby Keith, Alan Jackson, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven… It really depends on my mood 🙂
Where do you like to shop? I shop at Target, Nordstom, small boutiques, my yoga studio
Describe yourself and your style. I’m pretty simple. I love to practice yoga, I love watching birds, gardening (i’m just getting into this). When it comes to fashion I’m usually in jeans, cute flats, and a nice blouse with a pretty necklace piece on.
Where do you find inspiration? I find most of my inspiration in nature. I love sitting in gardens or out in parks and looking at how the flowers grow and how they look with each other. I pay attention to what direction they like to face and how each flower and plant relies on every other flower and plant to live and grow. Other forms of inspiration would be interior design, fabrics, travel. These help me find inspiration for the overall look of the weddings.
