Why did you start your business?
I have always loved throwing parties and after my wedding, I realized that it was a service that I could provide, and well. For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to be my own boss and event planning really just got me excited. And unlike any other job I’ve ever had, I wake up ready to go! I’m always looking for the next creative element to add to an event. It doesn’t feel like work doing what you truly love.
What is unique about your business?
What’s unusual about my particular event planning boutique is that I am a lawyer by training. I’ve practiced law for almost a decade and through that experience have honed in on my negotiation skills, attention to detail and emphasis on meeting the clients’ expectations—I’ve always put in tons of hours to get the job done and this is no different, well, except now I’m planning stunning events!
What’s on your Playlist?
I truly believe I was spoiled growing up with great R&B music, what is now considered classic 90s R&B still can be found blasting on my radio. I constantly have the best of 90s R&B playing at any given time. Mariah, En Vogue, Jagged Edge, you name it!
Where do you find inspiration?
I find inspiration spending time with my loved ones: traveling, enjoying nature, taking life a day at a time and witnessing all its beauty.
Why did you decide to work with Doodle Dog?
Doodle Dog makes beautiful, magical websites. I knew I wanted to have a major rebranding of Blissful by Design and I knew I only wanted to work with the best in getting it done.
Why did you feel the time was right to kick-off this project?
I knew summer 2016 was going to be a big season for the company, I figured its now or never! There’s no time like the present, and procrastination only breeds itself. And I’m so glad with the results!
What’s your favorite part of your new site?
I love the ability to update my site at my own pace and on my own time. There’s nothing better than being able to add content without having to wait on anyone to get it done.
What advice would you give to someone considering a rebrand or relaunch?
Know what you want, have your content ready to go and focus on the image you want to portray. Your brand is your story, and there is no better place to tell it.
